Alix Jenkins

Alix began music studies with student music majors at MSU, received a BA from Wheaton College as a music major, and received a BM from MSU with credentials for school music vocal education. Employment at several Lutheran churches as a church musician/organist in the Lansing area later led to nine years teaching high school choir, general music and language arts classes at Holt Lutheran School before returning to church ministry at Ascension in January, 2010. Alix continues to teach private students at her Mason studio and is now a licensed teacher for Musikgarten, teaching family music classes for infants to 5 year olds at String Connection, Okemos. She resides in Mason with husband Jon, an attorney; they have one son, David.
